**About Us**

We are currently looking for a sales consultant to join our fast paced and ever evolving business in our York store.

Matheson Communications Limited is a telecommunications franchise and holds three Vodafone stores in York, Scarborough and Bridlington as well as an ever growing webchat sales operation.

As a small family business operating under a Global brand, we want to stand out from the rest by providing the best experience not only for our customers but for our teams as well.

We’re passionate about our teams and making sure you’re treated as an individual, no small fish big pond mentality here As well as your line manager you’ll also have the support of our dedicated Employee Welfare Manager. As a trained counsellor and mental health professional they’re there to support you with anything both inside and out of work

**What are we looking for?**

Working in a fast paced environment with new product launches, ever changing promotions and advances in technology we need someone with an eye for detail who is adaptable and can work under pressure.

A passion for people and sales is a must as you'll need the trust and buy in of your all important customers and be able to work as part of a sales team.

Working in a sales environment means a culture of support and coaching is key to deliver results and a desire to keep reaching for that next goal

You'll need:

- the capacity to grasp new concepts quickly
- the ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- shrewd business sense and well-developed commercial awareness
- a desire to work as part of a team to generate fresh and innovative ideas.

**Responsibilities**

As a sales consultant you will be responsible for:

- making and increasing sales and ensuring efficiency
- following the sales process end to end to ensure consistency and compliance
- delivering world class customer service
- delivering on your sales targets and KPI's each month
- independent learning
- analysing your own sales figures
- maintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what competitors are doing

**Experience**
- Experience of working in sales is a not required but preferred
- Retail experience is not necessary as we are not traditional retail and follow a structured sales process
- Experience of working in a regulated sales environment is preferred but not essential

**Working Hours**
- Our opening hours are Mon
- Sat 9am - 5.30pm and Sundays 10:30am-4:30pm
- Your shift patterns will be across 5 days per week working the store opening times above to fulfil your 30 to 40 hour contract (dependent on experience)
- Weekend working is crucial due to us being on the high street
- We are open on all bank holidays apart from Christmas Day, Easter Sunday and New Years Day
- As a sales consultant flexibility is required for overtime, covering illness etc

**Salary and Benefits**
- The salary for this role is £17,004 to £22,672 depending on contract. (£10.90 per hour, £15.56 OTE) per year with expected earnings between £17,004 - £27,288
- Uncapped commission is a big part of the package we offer so the world is your oyster in terms of how much you can earn

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £20,384.00-£32,384.00 per year

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
