Patient Pathway Administrator

Do you have a great eye for detail and want to support patients with their journey through our hospital? If so then we would love to talk to you.
We are looking for someone who can proof-read and edit clinical correspondence, supporting our outstanding Oncology and Haematology clinicians to provide the best possible outcomes for our patients. You will be the first point of contact for patients so need to have a calm and empathetic nature and be able to use initiative to deal with any queries from either patients or the clinical teams.
In addition you will learn about the pathways for both routine and cancer patients and understand where patients are in their journey, ensuring any diagnostic tests are ordered and liaising with the consultants to ensure that they are aware of results, minimising delays to patients being given their results. It is a busy department where there is always something new to learn. We can promise you will never be bored
The post holder will be required to provide a comprehensive administration service to support the reception booking team, consultants and clinicians in the Oncology/Haematology Department. The post holder will be able to exercise initiative suitable to the role, and is fully supportive to other colleagues in the administrative team.
You will work in association with the clerical teams to provide a central point of communication for patients and staff.
