Payroll and Accounts Administrator

Deal with telephone enquiries, desk enquiries, screen and redirect callers as necessary

Process payroll every pay period

Maintain payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data

Compute employee take-home pay based on time records, benefits, and taxes

Answer staff questions about wages, deductions, attendance, and time records

Receive and coordinate requests for leave and other absences

Handle changes in exemptions, job status, and job titles

Adhere to payroll policies and procedures and comply with relevant law

Identify, investigate and resolve discrepancies in timesheet and payroll records

Honour confidentiality of employees' pay records

Complete payroll reports for record-keeping purposes or managerial review

Perform the distribution of wages through issuance of paper checks or direct transfers to employees' bank accounts

Processing staff expenses

Review, prepare and reconcile invoices

Ability to work effectively as part of a finance team

Dealing with invoice queries and filing invoices
Supplier statements reconciliation

Recording and checking of purchase invoicing

paying suppliers

Processing purchase ledger, sales ledger, nominal ledger

Daily cash reconciliation

Bank posting/ reconciliation

Wage posting/reconciliation

Creditor reconciliations

Management accounts

Essential Criteria:
Five years’ experience in a similar role

Demonstrable experience of accounts/payroll

Experience of using bespoke electronic payroll/accounts packages

Ability to work to deadlines

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

Reliable and Flexible

Ability to work in a team environment

**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time

**Salary**: From £12.02 per hour
