**MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS** **GRADUATE**

**FIXED TERM CONTRACT - 24 MONTHS**

Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, the role is responsible for providing support in a wide range of marketing and communications activities to achieve the Port’s marketing goals and objectives. This includes raising the profile of the Port of Tyne brand and supporting both lead generation activities and the achievement of Tyne 2050 project plans.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Strong business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and IT skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to coordinate a range of duties and meet deadlines
- Confident, enthusiastic and proactive **Excellent attention to detail, working to a high level of accuracy**:

- Flexible approach to working hours, full current driving licence and access to a vehicle

**KEY TASKS**:

- Create and execute marketing plans and campaigns for the Port’s various business areas incorporating both online and offline activities
- Support the Port’s digital marketing strategy to include updating the website, creating social media campaigns, arranging paid for social media advertising and assist in projects to develop the website to improve user engagement and development of the intranet
- Assist in the creation, copy checking and posting of items to the Port’s internal communications outlets including employee app, intranet and noticeboards
- Support the management, execution and promotion of Port and third party in person and virtual events
- Develop promotional marketing and commercial materials including brochures, sales proposals, Powerpoint presentations, marketing copy, and internal documents liaising with external agencies such as printers and designers as required
- Carry out detailed market and competitor research and analysis as required
- Assist with artwork production, image sourcing and resizing and copy checking of marketing materials as required
- Use marketing analytics techniques to gather important data (web analytics, search engine rankings) to help create reports
- Provide administrative support for the Port’s CRM (Salesforce)
- Ensure corporate branding is maintained and consistently delivered throughout all aspects of work undertaken
- Help build effective relationships both internally with key departments including commercial, leadership team and operations and externally with customers and other key stakeholders
- Implement appropriate administrative processes as required
- Establish responsible deadlines and personal work plans and manage time effectively
