Working as part of the Innovation Delivery team, you will assist in identifying, planning and delivering digitisation and technology projects aligned to the Port’s Tyne 2050 strategic vision. There will be the opportunity to collaborate with multiple organisations and stakeholders to work on shared challenges across a range of sectors. This is a unique opportunity to be involved in change projects that will benefit regional, national and global operations.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Degree in a related discipline; IT, Business, Project Management, Innovation, or similar, with a minimum 2:1 obtained or expected
- Excellent project management and IT skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A willingness to identify technology trends and translate research into potential opportunities to enhance efficiencies within the Maritime Sector
- Confident, enthusiastic, self-motivated and proactive with the ability to coordinate a range of duties and meet deadlines

**KEY TASKS**:
**Innovation**:

- Assist with the identification, planning and delivery of technology projects relating to the Tyne 2050 strategy.
- Liaise with Project Managers to identify new and existing technology which could assist with Tyne 2050 projects delivery
- Undertaking reviews of current working practices and identify potential areas for digitisation
- Undertake industry research into emerging technology and identify potential companies to work with
- Review options around grant funding opportunities and consortium membership
- Assist with the running and facilitation of 2050 Innovation Hub Events and undertaking pre and post communications to delegates and Social Media promotion of the events

**Technology**:

- To work with the IT Team to help to deliver efficiencies to the internal customer (staff)
- To lead implementation of change management processes and help to embed best practice
- Supplement the IT Team with project workload and delivery
- Gain an understanding of the port’s various business areas and their associated systems

**Job Type**: Graduate

**Salary**: From £23,500.00 per year
