We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join our Financial Reporting team. The Payroll & Benefits Specialist will play a crucial role in managing and administering the company's compensation and benefits programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing expert guidance to colleagues regarding their pay and benefits.

**About Fletchers Solicitors**:
**Main Responsibilities**:
Coordinate and oversee the company's payroll processes, working closely with the external payroll provider to ensure payroll is completed accurately and on time every month, calculate salary adjustments, bonuses and other compensation changes including but not limited to sickness, SMP and pension. Monitor and implement changes in wages and hour laws, including minimum wage and overtime regulations, as well as internal cost of living and national living wage increases. Manage colleagues’ investments in the Fletchers Growth Scheme and ensure individual reports of the benefits are available as required

**Benefits Administration**:
Administer employee benefits programs, including Life Assurance, Medicash, PMI, assist colleagues with benefit inquiries, enrolment etc. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance the company's benefits offerings. Collaborate with benefit providers to ensure the effective delivery of services.

**Compliance and Reporting**:
Ensure compliance to UK laws and regulations related to payroll, compensation, and benefits. Prepare and submit required reporting such as P11D, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations. - Create suite of reports to ensure a rigorous checking process is in place, ensuring final reports provided by the external provider are accurate. Prepare and distribute MI to management as required.

**Employee Education and Communication**:
Conduct educational sessions for colleagues to explain and promote understanding of the company's compensation and benefits programs. Communicate changes and updates to the benefits programs effectively, provide guidance to colleagues on benefit choices and options.

**Data Management**:
Maintain accurate and confidential records of employee compensation and benefits data. Ensure data integrity and security in HR MIS (Human Resources Management Information System) or other relevant systems.

**Vendor Management**:
Manage relationships with benefit providers, negotiate contracts, and evaluate vendor performance. Work closely with vendors to resolve service issues and ensure efficient benefits administration.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Proven experience as a Pay and Benefits Specialist in a similarly sized company (500+)
- In-depth knowledge of payroll, compensation, and benefits regulations.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in HR MI Systems and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to address complex compensation and benefits issues.

**Desirable**:

- Relevant Finance, Accounting, Payroll or HR qualification
- Understanding of PAYE
- Understanding of Pensions

**Salary**: £28,000.00 per year
