Payroll Officer

We are currently seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join a dynamic team in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a collaborative environment and play a key role in payroll processing and information management.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Handling the onboarding process for new employees, processing exits, and making necessary payroll adjustments.
- Calculating statutory payments and deductions such as SSP, SPP, and SMP.
- Processing benefits through salary sacrifice and managing pension processing.
- Handling Auto enrolment and Assessment.
- Submitting RTI submissions to HMRC.
- Issuing accurate P45’s and P60’s.
- Managing queries related to pay.
- Assisting the Payroll Manager with ad-hoc payroll issues.
- Posting the monthly payroll journal.
- Supporting the P11D process.
- Conducting basic MI reporting.
**What We're Looking For**:
- Previous experience in a payroll officer role processing using recognised payroll software.
- Confidence in running end-to-end payroll processes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Professional customer service skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of financial information.
- Process-driven with the ability to prioritise and manage workload.
- Proactive approach.
**Salary Range & Benefits**
The salary is competitive paying around £30,000 to £35,000 depending on experience. The company also offers excellent additional benefits.
