Hotel Reservationist

**Salary: £10.50 - £12.25 per hour (equating to £25,740 to £28,665)**

**Gratuities: £130 - £230 per month**

**Accommodation: subsidised accommodation available on site or in local town**

**Staff transport: provided free between staff houses and hotel**

**Hours: 45 per week**

- SD1: £10.50 per hour, and be eligible for £130 gratuities per month. 28 days' holidays (inclusive of Bank Holidays)
- SD2: SD2: £10.75 per hour, and be eligible for £150 gratuities per month. 28 days' holidays (inclusive of Bank Holidays)
- SD3: SD3: £11.00 per hour, and be eligible for £170 gratuities per month. 30 days' holidays (inclusive of Bank Holidays)
- SD4: £11.25 per hour, and be eligible for £190 gratuities per month. 30 days' holidays (inclusive of Bank Holidays)
- SD5: £11.75 per hour, and be eligible for £210 gratuities per month. 32 days' holidays (inclusive of Bank Holidays)
- SD6: £12.25 per hour, and be eligible for £230 gratuities per month. 32 days' holidays (inclusive of Bank Holidays)

**THE ROLE OF HOTEL RESERVATIONIST**
**You will have outstanding interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering exceptional guest service. You will thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment whilst retaining a sense of calm under pressure.**
- Has full knowledge of all the room types and what facilities each one has
- Able to use Rezlynx and Resdiary
- Is able to offer the correct the rate as per guests requirements
- Understands when to use a complimentary rate plan
- Understand R&C Creation Box, gift vouchers for R&C and know how to create and redeem
- Is able to share correctly the T&C’s of a reservation
- Is able to take and communicate correctly the method a deposit has been taken
- Is able to administrate in full with no errors the information required for notes and understands which department they are relevant for and if they should be public or private notes.
- Has a full understanding that advanced purchase rates are not available for group bookings.
- Understands how OTA’s connected and distributed
- Is able to make a Spa reservations with no errors
- Knows how to deal with a guest if they complain about noise
- Understand how many covers are available in the restaurants and the timings ensuring no overbooking takes place
- Is able to identify and correctly and log any dietary and allergy information.
- Has a full understanding of the reservations phone system
- Is able to demonstrate understanding of telephone techniques
- Can effectively take and deliver messages correctly with no errors
- Has a full understand of Pride of Britain
- Is able to complete a created check as part of the AM shift
- Is able to complete the 3 day check as part of the PM shift
- Is able to keep the database up to date by ensuring there is no duplicate profiles
- Ia able to transfer the phones from night to day mode
- Is able to take a payment on the virtual terminal
- Is able to take a payment through ST PayMe
- Understand the repayment policies
- Understands the procedure of logging and sending external post
- Understands not to move rooms when they have been allocated
- Understand how to deal with an assistance dog booking and requirements
- Full understanding of guest issues and responsibilities surrounding them and how to report them on GA.
