**Position Description**
An entry-level position has arisen for an enthusiastic, quality and detail driven colleague to join the Quality Assurance (QA) department at QIAGEN Manchester. The successful applicant will join a team of 20 in the QA department and will work with global colleagues to support the wider QA organisation and promote a Quality culture.
The role is varied and will allow the Quality team to maintain and continuously improve standards, helping to assure the quality of in-vitro diagnostic products in development.
Key responsibilities:
- Administration of electronic systems operated by the QA department for change control and internal audits
- Assistance with day to day QA activities
- Collation and review of data and documents
- Supporting with investigations and oversight of corrective action implementation
- Following training, there may be opportunities to take on the role of an auditor, and/or to act as a QA representative on project core teams supporting new product developments and ensuring compliance
**Position Requirements**
- No prior experience is required. We are looking for individuals with a demonstrable quality mindset, an enquiring mind and an enthusiasm to learn.
- A background in Molecular Biology would be advantageous
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written) are essential along with the ability to contribute and collaborate as part of a multifunctional and multinational team.
- The ability to work flexibly and effectively under pressure to meet deadlines and take on multiple tasks simultaneously is essential.
