Job Description - Warehouse

Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor/Production Manager

Job Overview: To run an efficient and accurate Goods In department, carry out stock takes and maintain stock systems, carry out weekly/monthly safety inspections of the department. Provide production staff with products they need from warehouse and racking to complete their workload. The Warehouse Supervisor will ensure the cleanliness, maintenance, inventory, stocking and repair (minor) of all warehouse and job site equipment and consumables.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Record and log any deliveries received, enter stock into system and provide purchase department with delivery notes.
- Must ensure work area is kept clean and tidy.
- Store products in the correct location and segregate as required.
- Ensure the smooth operation of goods-in & goods-out.
- Complete & record monthly stock takes as required.
- Identify damaged goods coming in and repot this to purchasing/production manager.
- Dispose of waste correctly and recycle where possible.
- Condense pallets to make storage more efficient.
- Carry out monthly/weekly safety checks as directed by production manager.
- Observe health & safety requirements as per the company’s Health & Safety Policy.
- Observe quality management requirements as per the company’s Quality Management Policy.
- Receive and load any pallet deliveries/collections where needed.
- Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee’s performance
- Organize and maintain inventory and storage area
- Ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracy
- Communicate job expectations and coach employees
- Determine staffing levels and assign workload
- Maintain items record, document necessary information, and utilize reports to project warehouse status
- Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices
- Liaise and coordinate activities with other departments
- Meet any training needs for this role.
- Any other duty reasonably requested by a supervisor or manager

Qualifications / Experience:
Essential
- Forklift License
- Knowledge of stock control
- Proven work experience as a Warehouse Supervisor
- Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques
- Ability to input, retrieve and analyse data
- Hands-on commitment to getting the job done
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills

Desirable
- Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency
- Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations

**Salary**: From £21,924.00 per year
