An exciting opportunity has arisen for conscientious, enthusiastic, and highly motivated Urology Cancer Active Surveillance Pathway Navigator to join the Urology department at St Albans City Hospital.

The post holder will support the Urology clinical and administrative team with the smooth running of the pathway for our urology patients on an active surveillance pathway. This will include utilising prostate biopsy clinics, Booking of MRI’s and monitoring utilisation of all other outpatient activity.

It will also include contacting with patients to confirm appointments and management of admin duties such as letters, escalating results where appropriate and being a point of contact for the patients and involved clinical teams.

The post holder will be responsible for the tracking of all patients on the active surveillance pathway so will be required to have great IT skills.

There has never been a more exciting time to join West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust Major redevelopment works are planned as part of the New Hospital Programme. These will be most dramatic at Watford General Hospital where up to 90% of buildings will be new.

The post holder will work closely with the Urology consultants, Urology management team, Urology Surgical care practitioner, Urology secretarial team, Cancer nurse specialists, their immediate colleagues, and other administrative and clinical members of the trust.

This post is 37.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday).
