The Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Advice Service involves dedicated members of staff giving one to one advice, support and information to people with dementia or their carers and wider family or friends, to help people understand dementia, cope with day to day living with dementia and prepare for the future.

This role will require you to build relationships with a range of local contacts. You will network with health and care professionals, marketing Alzheimer’s Society services to promote people with a diagnosis being referred to the service as early as possible. As well as developing networks with partner organisations to promote the aim of empowering individuals living with dementia to make informed choices.

We are looking for:

- Working experience of person-centred assessments, face to face and over the phone, with the ability to co
- create a support plan and identify outcomes.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, including the ability to effectively manage a caseload.
- Good IT skills and experience working with databases.
- The ability to build strong relationships with external providers and stakeholders, to ensure dementia is a priority, and effective referral pathways are established.
- Understanding the need for client confidentiality.
- Excellent non-judgmental communication skills.
- An empathetic approach with a commitment to equal opportunity.
- The ability to travel independently across the area.
