As an Assistant Commissioning Officer you will make a difference assisting the Commissioning Officer in co-ordinating and administering the Extra Care Housing service by contract monitoring and maintaining records. You will be involved with checking plans for completeness, by ensuring that all information in respect of referrals, contracts, placement activity, expenditure and service provider information is recorded.

You will contribute to project planning, partnership working and the development of commissioning plans, by gathering and researching information on best practice, national policy, legislation etc to provide to other officers in the team.

**What will you be doing?**
- Under the guidance of the Commissioning Office, you will maintain regular contact with commissioned services and monitor the service provided
- It will be your responsibility to maintain accurate records of service users under each scheme and the banding of care
- You will provide Contract monitoring and maintaining records will also be done for some supported housing schemes, Telecare contract and Integrated Community Equipment.
- You will provide clear and accurate advice to commissioned services, and other internal and external customers.
- Daily, you will perform a wide range of administrative tasks for the team
- You will accurately and efficiently record, monitor, and maintain financial information and resources related to various Extra Care Housing schemes.
- Where appropriate you will assist with planning and preparing events for service users and stakeholders, to help inform future design.

- We require you to be NVQ Level 3 qualified or hold equivalent level qualification or have experience in the areas of social services, health or the voluntary care sector.
- You will be able to work on your own initiative and can prioritise work.
- You should have excellent organisation skills and be competent in use of MS Word, Excel, and Access.
- Although not essential, you may have experience of producing reports.
