This role will be responsible for assisting the PR & Events Manager in advancing Benefit Cosmetics key marketing plans and wider business goals. This is a key position to support and be part of a brand in implementing innovative and disruptive PR tactics and Events organising.

**Responsibilities**:

- The Role:

- Reporting to the PR & Events Manger the purpose of this role is to help to ensure that the PR team’s goals and objectives are met.

PR
- Responsible for day-to-day running of the press office, sample and stock management, courier bookings, postal management.
- Update and maintain press databases
- Assist on daily editorial and image requests
- Proactively and enthusiastically secure coverage and ascertain what features are coming
- Weekly trends reporting derived from media requests
- Daily digital coverage tracking and save key pieces of coverage
- Maintain print clippings weekly
- Update Cision product name search terms monthly
- Quarterly PR coverage reporting
- Flag and record missed coverage opportunities in all press
- Support with writing press releases and e-blasts, (digital PR experience preferred but not required)
- Build press relationships with press assistants and emerging writers across all consumer beauty, fashion, regional and trade titles
- Collate relevant press competitor activity and circulate to the business
- Maintain an accurate system of tracking samples with Operations team
- Magazine subscription management
- Build press mailing lists

Events
- Experience of working with a range of partners on events
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Maintain events inventory
- Collate all goody bags and assist with gift ordering process for events
- Manage RSVP lists for events
- Liaise with the design team to create event invitations and any other collateral required for events
- Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers to ensure preferential rates
- Management of event kit services supplies
- Collate relevant events trends and competitor activity to circulate to business
- Maintain monthly press brow time appointments
- Collate relevant events competitor activity and circulate to the business
- Assist in arranging, setting up and derigging of Benefit events
- Capture event coverage and maintain event tracking on Tribe

General Office Management
- Shared management of postal services with Pitney Bowes, PR & Influencer Coordinator
- Shared management of general cleaning services with Miss Maid, PR & Influencer Coordinator
- Shared management of office and stock supplies with PR & Influencer Coordinator

Qualifications:
Required Experience/Skills:

- More than 2 years PR experience, ideally within the cosmetics or fashion
- Excellent communication skills, with an articulate manner, written, over the phone, and in person
- Experience working in an office environment
- Experience in using Adobe, Illustrator and Photoshop
- Great relationship-building skills and the ability to network at all levels
- Unflappable and enjoys working in a fast-paced commercial environment
- Ability to work autonomously and at a hands-on level
- Shows initiative and foresight
- Displays drive, ambition and not afraid of hard work
- Energetic and enthusiastic with a team spirit
- Ambitious and committed
- Confidence using Microsoft Office
- Strong writing skills and a creative flair when creating reports and presentation, editing, proof-reading and compiling documents with a meticulous eye for detail
- Passionate about stories and current affairs, with a finger on the pulse of social and news trends

Based in London but travel nationwide and outside of office hours is necessary.
