We are looking for two individuals to help us build and manage the FinOps function of the National Data Resource on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

**The FinOps Team will**:

- devise an operational model that details the process by which requests for resources will be deployed to the cloud platform - from initiation through to operational service.
- produce standard operating procedures that effectively manage all cloud operations
- provide prudent control and governance of the operational costs incurred by users of the platform
- develop a technical understanding of the Google Cloud Platform product set - what each does, how it is charged, making decisions as necessary, on where to strategically deploy new products, to optimise spend.
- create dashboards to report performance, usage and compliance and take pro-active steps to ensure consumption of cloud resources stays as agreed at the outset and proactively intervene where it deviates.
- be responsible for the administration of users that use the Google platform and the products within it.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
