This role will bring together new and existing products to design and lead the Community Application service to achieve a cohesive view of our products, enabling streamlined delivery, quality data and robust operational performance.

**As a service owner, you will**:

- Be accountable for the quality of their service
- Adopt a portfolio view, managing end-to-end services that include multiple products and channels
- Maintain a balanced view of requirements and demands and ensures a strong focus on delivery
- Interpret national policy and guidance within NHS Wales and has the ability to translate that into the delivery of affordable, value for money products that enable and support a Healthier Wales.
- Attend and engage with national programme boards and other senior leadership meetings relating to the service.
- Develop, lead and manage a number of simultaneous national projects of significant size, complexity and risk ensuring that they produce the required products, to a high standard of quality and within the specified constraints of time and cost.
- Lead the teams through development and into operational delivery ensuring that the service is fit for purpose and has an appropriate and manageable improvement roadmap for emerging stakeholder requirements.
- Lead the operational process of designing and running the products and wider service. Implementing best practice in development, overcoming operational constraints and barriers.
- Understand incident management and service support to deliver consistently high-quality services with mínimal disruption.

**As a service owner, you will**:

- Identify and plan the scope and resource requirements of the service required to deliver in line with the strategic agenda.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, engage with them and create a strong feedback loop to aid development and ensure quality of performance.
- Communicate the performance and benefits of the service.
- Make timely decisions based on highly complex facts, including competing technical dependencies, legislative guidance or external stakeholder demands, which will require analysis and may have no obvious solution.
- The postholder will not have any direct contact with patients other than in respect of user research to gain an understanding of requirements needed to improve the products and service.
- Be responsible for budget setting for a number of products or services and provide clearly costed budgets across the services, showing an understanding of the different funding streams available.
- Conduct internal reviews to evaluate adherence to agreed standards and compliance with rules and legislation.
- Conduct regular R&D research to identify and validate emerging technologies and opportunities.
