**Job description**:
We're looking for a Grants and Community Officer as a key member of the Foundation team who will be responsible for managing a portfolio of grants, including some of the Foundation’s multi-year funds. The Grants and Community Officer will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with our charity partners and supporting the delivery of our Funder Plus suite of support.

**What you will be doing**:
**Grants Assessment, Management and Administration**
- Manage a diverse portfolio of local, national and international grants and partnerships. These may include:

- The Health and Wellbeing Fund (multi-year grants to support the mental health and wellbeing of people in Merton and Wandsworth)
- The Wimbledon Foundation Community Fund (grants to meet social needs of people in Merton and Wandsworth tackling social needs and disadvantage)
- The Wimbledon Foundation Community Fund Plus (multi-year, core cost grants to support key charitable organisations in Merton and Wandsworth)
- Manage and administer some of the Foundation’s grants programmes which will include:

- Developing and opening grants programmes
- Promoting the grants programmes and supporting charities to apply
- Conducting due diligence on applicant organisations
- Running panel meetings
- Administering the grants awards
- Supporting grantees throughout the grants period
- Reviewing monitoring at the end of grants period.
- Produce high quality monitoring and impact reports and papers for a range of audiences
- Develop and implement a range of grants schemes as required to support the growth of the Foundation.

**Grant Processes**
- Support with the development and implementation of new grant processes including:

- Creating and improving monitoring forms and procedures
- The continuing development of the Foundation's monitoring and evaluation processes
- Ongoing review of the Foundation’s grant making practices
- Ensure the smooth running and maintenance of the Salesforce grant management system
- Liaising with our grant management partner, the London Community Foundation, on the administration of grant funds

**Charity and Community Engagement**
- Manage 'in kind' support for grantees which includes workshops, hosted events and visits to the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC), as part of the Foundation’s supportive funder approach
- Build a local network of charitable groups and relevant stakeholders
- Act as an external representative of the Foundation including delivering presentations, project visits, stakeholder meetings and attending key local events. This will require occasional travel, evening and weekend working
- Raise the profile of the Wimbledon Foundation as the charity of the All England Club and The Championships with local charities, residents and other stakeholders

**Other**
- Share and maintain knowledge about the external funding environment and best practice in the voluntary sector, including Equity, Diversity and Inclusion and Safeguarding
- Support Foundation activities with AELTC Members and staff
- Respond to external requests and queries
- Deputise for the Grants and Community Manager as appropriate
- Any other duties within the scope of the post as may be required by the Grants and Community Manager.

**What part your role will play in The Championships**:

- Represent the Foundation at The Championships, delivering Foundation based activities on site, providing front-facing information about the Foundation and running engagement activities. Longer days and shifts will be required, including working at the weekends
- Support the management of our ticket allocation, including supporting ticket acceptance procedures, handling queries, greeting charity guests and coordinating onsite tours
- Support any other Championships/Foundation related activations, e.g. charity presence in The Queue, ticket resale, requests for information, charity visits or back office tasks

**About You**:

- Experience with grant making, including a track record of administering grants
- An interest and enthusiasm for the Foundation’s work, goals and values
- Adept at building and maintaining effective working relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders including voluntary sector organisations
- Professional and diplomatic with excellent interpersonal skills
- An effective communicator, articulate and an engaging presenter with excellent written communication skills confident in both community and corporate environments
- A self-starter, able to work within a small and focused team, often with mínimal supervision, taking the initiative to bring fresh ideas and solving problems
- Confident, resourceful and pro-active with a flexible approach to work
- A multi-tasker, prioritising to meet deadlines and changing requirements
