Overlooking the historic City Walls and Monk Bar, the city’s largest Medieval gateway, the hotel is within walking distance to York Minster and other main attractions. The DoubleTree by Hilton York comprises of 143 air-conditioned guest rooms, The Yorkshire Bar and Grill, Orangery, 24-hour fitness centre and 2,400 sq. ft. of flexible, state-of-the art event space.
- To ensure full security checks are carried out throughout the night in order to ensure security of the premises and our guests. Any discrepancies to be reported immediately.
- To ensure all guests are offered porterage services upon arrival and departure from the hotel.
- To be fully aware of all hotel activities and services.
- To carry out night audit where this forms part of your responsibilities.
- To be in constant liaison with the Front Office/ Reception Desk.
- To assist guests with information required - e.g. train and bus times, local tourist information.
- To arrange transport for guests where required.
- To ensure all left luggage procedures are strictly followed.
- To prepare and serve refreshments to guests as required.
- To participate with night cleaning schedules as directed by Night Manager and ensure the hotel public areas are clean and tidy at all times.
- To order and deliver newspapers for hotel guests.
- To update hotel Welcome Noticeboard each night.
- To report any damage, wear and tear arising in any of your working areas.
- To attend work consistently well groomed, in uniform, as laid down to the standard required.
- To be fully aware of and strictly adhere to all security, cash and key procedures laid down.
- To consistently deliver superior customer service.
- To attend training when required.
- To be fully aware of and adhere to Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, Fire and Bomb threat procedures as laid down by the hotel and Company.
- To suggest ideas for further improving the department and customer service standards.
- To be fully aware of and comply with hotel and Company rules and regulations as identified in the Team Member handbook, in our policies and procedures and displayed on notice boards.

Competent level of IT Proficiency.
