Early Years Educator Apprentice Level 3

Our lovely nursery cares for 40-50 children per day, from babies to school age. We work from a detached house, 100 meters from the sea, with our own large safe garden. We have a team of 20 plus full and part time staff, including Cooks and an Administrator.Salary is dependent on age and prior experience. Minimum 7.50ph to start. Pay will increase as you progress through your qualification and take on the duties of a nursery practitioner with the support of trained practitioners at all times.Role is Monday - Friday with 28 days holiday 20 days plus 8 bank holidays. After 3 months you will join our WPA cash plan at no cost to your self (e.g. allows refunds per annum towards dental and optical appointments, some cover for physio, 24 hour telephone GP, counselling support).
Working alongside our experienced, qualified practitioners to provide care and early education for all our children. This would include:
Assisting at mealtimes and with toileting.
Alongside your level 3 qualification we would arrange for you to attend and complete a 12 hour pediatric first aid course.
You would also be given access to a large number of relevant Noodle courses, some of which would need to be completed, such as Food Hygiene, Safeguarding and Manual Handling.
Training Provided
Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Dragonflies Day Nursery will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.
You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:
Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
This will be delivered through Dragonflies Day Nursery's dedicated training provider, Realise.
Realise is an established training provider that’s enjoying an exciting period of growth following a management buyout and rebrand in late 2020.
