P/T Support worker
- £12 per hr
- 6 month probation.

Must have previous experience of working with adults with extra support needs required. The gentleman is 30 years old and has learning difficulties and extra support needs.

**Duties**:
To support a disabled gentleman with all aspects of personal care including, aiding with washing, dressing and feeding. The gentleman is doubly incontinent and part of the job requires to assist with changing and washing.

He likes to get out and about and requires to use a manual wheelchair. Staff will be required to push this.

He likes to go to his music group, swimming, bowling

Occasionally goes to hydrotherapy.

He likes to watch movies and the computer

Staff will be required to encourage him to try new things and come up with new ideas and stimulate him and keep him active.

**Skills**:
Staff will be required to be patient, understanding and caring

To be honest, trustworthy and reliable

To liaise with the family

To be non
- judgemental

To work well with others

To come up with new ideas

Have a willingness to learn new skills

Being a driver and having Use of own vehicle would be a distinct advantage, fuel will be reimbursed if using car as part of your duties, you will require business use on your car Ins, but not essential.

**Training requirements**:

- Will be required to have a moving and assisting certificate or willing to undertake training ( at the employers cost )
- Knowledge of Administering Medication or willing to undertake training.

*** Perks of the Job A Pension, sick pay and holiday pay included and contract of employment.

** Successful applicants will be required undergo a new or update of the PVG scheme ( at the employers cost ) and supply 2 up to date reference contacts.

There is 6 month probation attached to this post, of which if things do not work out on either side there is a 1 weeks’ notice within the probationary period.
