London, United Kingdom King's College London Full time

Job description

Psoriasis is an immune related skin disorder that affects around 2-3% of the UK population, with adverse psychological, physical, and social consequences. Since common co-morbidities are diet-dependent (CVD, gastrointestinal diseases, diabetes), it is important to characterise the diets of those with psoriasis, and to investigate whether there is any relationship with low adherence to healthy dietary patterns. The primary aim of the research is to investigate whether diet quality is associated with psoriasis comorbidities using the UK Biobank, an open access resource for researchers to investigate health-related research questions.

This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract until 30/09/23.

This is a part-time post - 40% full time equivalent.

Key responsibilities
- Background research: literature review of what has already been done in this area
- Organisation and exploration of UK Biobank data
- Management of data in accordance with relevant KCL data protection and ethics requirements
- Analysis of primary and secondary data to address key research questions
- Planning/leading project meetings
- Participate in a conference and workshops to present the results of the project to academic, policy and practice audiences
- Draft final project report and journal articles for submission.
- The above list of responsibilities may not be exhaustive, and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably be expected within the scope and grading of the post._
