Autism Support Worker
Our client is in his 40s and lives his own house in Tamworth. He therefore needs staff 24 hours a day that can enable him to live independently. (24 hour shift with sleep in)
He's very intelligent, friendly, polite, a great communicator and is mobile. He particularly likes to go to the cinema, the gym and days out to visit stately homes. He's an excellent photographer and has many skills but his spatial awareness issues lead him to need someone to guide him around and ensure his safety and to prompt/support him with all his daily living tasks.
He has a great relationship with his staff and needs to talk through things so he can process them so his staff need to be good listeners (and patient). He needs staff to be able to drive as he has a mobility car and does like to get out and about but public transport can be too busy for him as he has sensory issues.
He has a lovely sense of humour and is very sensitive and so we're looking to appoint someone to the existing team who can enable him to enjoy his life and support him to reduce his anxieties.
