The UKRI CDT in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (NanoDTC) is a world leading Centre for Doctoral Training based at the University of Cambridge, across the Departments of Physics, Chemistry, Materials, Engineering and Chemical Engineering. The centre has been running since 2009, and its current funding extends to 2028.
The Centre hosts a programme for training the next generation of leaders in nanoscience in academia, industry and science-led start-ups. The role holder will also set up arrangements for these training materials to be implemented for the wider community, including for user training for research facilities such as the Cavendish National Facility and other nano related equipment facilities in Cambridge. This will include effective dissemination. The role holder is also expected to support the broader activity of the CDT's educational environment, including organising and leading seminars and skills development activities. The role holder is also expected to lead the coordination and delivery of other programmes such as the Nano Initiatives and the Nano Associates programmes.
You will have excellent organisational and management skills, a high degree of familiarity with technological and organisational tools for effective management, and willingness to embrace new technologies as they evolve. You will also have excellent communication skills, and will enjoy being part of a diverse and active community of students, academics and team members.
