**Planning Obligation Officer**

**Grade: SO1 - PO2 (Career Graded role)**

**Employment Term: Permanent**

**Hours: 35 hours per week**

As part of the Planning Obligation Team you will play a key role in helping the borough mitigate the impact of development, securing and collecting developer contributions that are critical to delivering new infrastructure in the borough.

As a Planning Obligations Officer you will be responsible for the administration and collection of the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) and Section 106 agreements, in accordance with the Regulations. This will include monitoring development; determining the amount of obligations that are due, granting any relief or exemptions, issuing notices; taking appropriate enforcement action for non-compliance of the Regulations, and reporting on income and spend.

You will be the first point of contact for the provision of professional advice and guidance to the public/developers on all matters relating to planning obligations. Ideally you will have previous experience of planning obligations and/or planning; have a high level of computer literacy, and be confident working with systems and in the manipulation and interpretation of financial information.
