Here at YMCA Lakeside, we are looking for talented and committed seasonal staff to join our team for 2024, starting in February 2024, as **Seasonal Instructors** and **Trainee Seasonal Instructors**. You will be passionate about working in the outdoors and passing on your enthusiasm to others. You will be keen to develop your skills and will have taken the first steps by having one or more of the following:
**Seasonal Instructor**
- RYA Dinghy Instructor with Safety Boat Course
- Paddle Sport Leader with Personal Performance Award (formerly 3*)
- Rock Climbing Instructor (formerly SPA)
- Mountain Leader Summer

**Trainee Seasonal Instructor**
- RYA Dinghy Assistant Instructor
- Paddle Sport Instructor with Personal Performance Award (formerly 3*)
- Rock Climbing Instructor (formerly SPA)/Climbing Wall Instructor (or CWA)
- Mountain Leader Summer /Hill & Moorland Leader

**You will join** a team of staff all committed to delivering outdoor learning programmes to children and young people between 8 and 16 years of age.

**In addition, we offer a funded personal development package including**:

- Induction training to ensure you are confident and safe to deliver sessions to young people.
- Ongoing coaching and mentoring from highly qualified staff to enable you to progress in your areas of development.
- Commitment to providing your next step on the qualifications journey; either MLTB Training and Assessment, Paddle Sport Instructor or RYA Assistant Dinghy Instructor will be offered during the season.
- Regular activities led by a senior member of staff; could be dinghy sailing on Windermere, climbing in Langdale, scrambling in the Central Fells or paddling a Lakeland river. All activities to build your personal experience.
- Access to Centre equipment (kayaks, canoes, and dinghies etc.) to help build your experience.

Successful applicants will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS Disclosure.

**Salary**: £10.42-£10.50 per hour
