Oxford, United Kingdom University of Oxford Full time

Applications are invited for a Research Assistant to join the Gene Regulatory Networks in Development and Disease laboratory based in the MRC Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine (WIMM). The postholder will work under the direct supervision of Professor Tatjana Sauka-Spengler and collaborate closely with a group of postdoctoral and graduate students on deciphering how cells make cell fate decisions on a global scale.

The project addresses the epigenetic control of early multipotency and the transcriptional control of binary lineage decision in vertebrate embryos, thus shedding further light on how the cells progress from a naïve multipotent state to the cell fate lineage restriction in several cellular systems.

You will hold a First degree in a relevant field (e.g. biological sciences, biomedical sciences). Laboratory experience in CRISPR/Cas9 genome engineering, molecular biology and embryology is essential. You will be expected to have a high level of commitment to work, with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

The post is available fixed-term until 31 December 2023 and is funded by the Wellcome Trust.

The closing date for this position is noon on 10th July 2023.
