The Scottish Courts and Tribunal service (SCTS) is looking to recruit for a Head of Financial Business Support. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and forward thinking finance team.

**About the role**

You will have a key strategic leadership role, working across the SCTS business units and organisational boundaries to achieve positive outcomes through providing valuable financial advice, strategic insight and business solutions to directors/budget holders.

Further, you will have line management responsibilities for up to six staff and will take a proactive role in supporting the effective delivery of finance business partnering, management accounting and VAT professional services to a diverse portfolio of business units. The Head of Financial Business Support will be directly responsible to the Director of Finance and Procurement.

You should have highly effective leadership, communication and interpersonal skills; with the ability to influence, negotiate and collaborate effectively with a range of staff and stakeholders. Further, a strong background in finance business partnering or management accounting, with the ability to communicate and explain complex financial concepts to non-accountants is essential. A commitment towards innovation and driving value for money decision making is also key.
