Head of Business Platforms Migration

We're looking for a senior business lead for platform migration to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract. This role has accountability to successfully lead delivery of the migration of our major systems of record onto a new FNZ platform.

Reporting into the Customer and Business Operations Director you will provide oversight and direction for the migration process, working closely with the internal and external platform transformation teams on the effectiveness of a succession of major platform migrations. The role will involve working closely with other business areas across COO, Product and Sales to ensure accurate delivery of the agreed migration outcomes in conjunction with our external platform delivery partner, FNZ.

**You'll spend your time**:

- Setting goals and agree strategic direction for platform migrations in conjunction with the Group Transformation platform migrations team
- For each major migration take accountability for business leadership:

- Identify and deliver critical business outcomes required including chairing relevant business committees inputting to the migration
- Support the internal and external platform migration teams by ensuring all key business decisions are made on a timely basis
- Locate relevant SME input and find solutions for SME gaps
- Providing support and advice to the business areas as required, including input to relevant migration decisions affecting data, the migration process and future business processes
- Supporting business leads in the identification, assessment, documentation and mitigation of risks to the migration programme
- Investigating and facilitating discussions with stakeholders to resolve blocking issues
- Helping to define standards and measures of quality for the migration
- Coordinating business input to migration testing and conclude on its effectiveness
- Passing on information to senior management regarding the results of your work in a concise and understandable manner, enabling them to make informed decisions
- Identifying ways to improve the migration process and reduce risk, sharing specialist knowledge and transferring skills within the business in order to educate and enable colleagues in identifying and pre-empting potential issues/events.
- Developing clear action plans and identification of business ownership to support implementations of new processes beyond migration
- Responsible for maintaining a view of industry migration management best practice and regulator approach and for sharing that as appropriate with leaders across COO and the wider business
- Ensuring good relationship management with internal and external stakeholders especially FNZ
- Continuously role modelling Nucleus' values, and inspiring** **others to do the same
- Responsible for managing your own delegated workload, you will have the opportunity to prioritise your activity and make decisions to effectively manage events and issues to resolution.

**A bit about you**

A senior business individual with a proven track record in migration of systems, working as a business sponsor ideally in financial services. You love combining your analytical and problem-solving skills to identify potential issues, design the best course of action, and deliver excellent resolutions. Professional and credible, you'll use your strong communication and influencing skills to effectively articulate complex information in an understandable way with a variety of senior stakeholders, sharing clear recommendations when needed. You'll enjoy working within a complex and data driven environment that allows you to demonstrate your adaptability to deadlines and unforeseen challenges.
