Link Contracting Services is a well-established business with over 30 years’ experience, the business is continuously growing with new and existing clients, covering reactive & building maintenance, refurbishment and construction work both as Contractor and Principal Contractor with a Head Office in Wigan, offices in Lichfield, Milton Keynes & South Wales.

We are looking to recruit a Health & Safety Co-ordinator to assist our Health & Safety Manager in the delivery of a managed process for ensuring that we are fully compliant with all H&S legislation, industry standards/corporate requirements, and to provide a safe and healthy working environment for our staff. This position will be based in Wigan Head Office with frequent travel to other sites.

MAIN DUTIES:

- Support the H&S Manager in the delivery of the company HSQE Management Systems
- Deliver HSQE related training including our own 'Link Safety Passport Induction’
- Support Project and Maintenance site audit & inspections using Safety Culture
- Manage & input advise into HSQE related information delivered to operatives
- Investigate & report on accidents, incidents & near misses. Support H&S Manager with major incident investigations
- Booking of training courses and keeping record of staff training
- Manage PPE stock and distribute to new and existing employees, First Aid Equipment, Legionnaires testing (Training will be given)
- On Site Fire Marshal
- Maintain CPD - attend events & training.
- Achieve & Maintain IOSH status
- Role is split 50% Office based, 50% Site based

Initially all these duties will be dependant on individuals knowledge and experience, support and training will be given to progress to these duties with monthly 1-2-1 and appraisal reviews for 2 way communication.

Skills, experience and attributes:

- Construction Site Experience
- ISO 45001/9001/14001 - Desirable
- Ability and proficient in IT packages, word, excel, powerpoint
- Good communication skills
- Desire to develop H&S related knowledge, skills and experience
- Full UK Drivers Licence required
