I am a happy, independent, chatty, 50-year-old female living in Cobham, Surrey. I really enjoy spending time with someone I can laugh and chat with. I have a learning disability, I also have epilepsy which I take medication to help control. I love my home and I am very house proud, I want to remain here and live as independently as possible.

Due to an increase of hours to meet my needs I am looking for another member of staff to cover my hours of support each week.

County Care have provided me support for over 12 years My team is expanding as I would like to spend more time out and about.

**What's important to me?**

- Hours will be shared across a working week to give you contracted full or part-time hours
- no weekends needed as I spend these with family.

I like being sociable and getting out and about, meeting my family and friends. I enjoy attending County Care Groups such as arts and crafts and bowling. I love karaoke and have my own machine at home.

I live at home alone.

**A day in the life of my support worker would look like..**

(37.5 hours a week)
- 9 - 11 Prompt personal care (have a wash independently, get dressed, remind to me to brush my teeth) and support will need to make me breakfast.
- 11 - 12 Support me with household chores.
- 12 - 1 Prompt me with my physiotherapy exercises.
- 1 - 3 Activity of choice such as beading, threading or relaxing in the garden/living room or having a sing song on the karaoke
- 4 - 5 Support me to cook my dinner.
- 5 - 6 Support me on a walk.
- 6 - 7 Activity of choice.
- 7 - 8 Prompt me with my bedtime personal care routine.
- 8 - 9 Ensure everything is in place for me, for bedtime.

You may be required to undertake any training that is considered necessary and appropriate to your role.

**The Person I am Looking For -**
- You should have a genuine interest in supporting people. You should be able to provide high quality care and support as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
- You need to be female and a confident driver.
- You need to be able to use your initiative and assist me with a achieving my personal goals in life and promoting my daily independence.
- You should be hardworking, reliable, honest, and patient and be truly committed to the role.
- Experience in a caring role is desirable but not essential.
- You need to be reliable and dependable and have a kind, calm and gentle nature.
- To enable to be to be as self-managing as possible to promote my independence.
- Follow COVID guidelines and wear PPE when relevant.

Monday to Friday hours 9am - 9pm - Hours will be shared across a working week to give you 37.5 hours a week - no weekends needed as I spend these with family.
