**About the Opportunity**

We have a new opportunity for a **Biomass Fuel Operative **to join our growing Industrial Biomass Team based in Berwick Upon Tweed.

**The role will involve**:

- Operating a Tele-handler to carry out loading/mixing of the fuel
- Safely operating vehicles to transport goods and materials to designated locations
- Loading and unloading using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Performing routine maintenance and inspections on vehicles/telehandler to ensure they are in proper working order
- Ensuring optimal and continuous operation of the fuel system
- Reporting any predicted issues with fuel at its earliest stage to the Site Manager
- Weigh-in fuel deliveries via the weighbridge
- To sample and test fuel in line with AMP procedures to keep within standards
- Creating and entering properly documented records of fuel testing/samples
- Ensuring accurate and detailed report and record keeping of fuel supply, maintenance, testing, and HSEQ incidents; risk assessments and auditing, via our online HSEQ and service management systems
- Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations while operating company vehicles
- Contributing to achieving HSEQ compliance and maintaining high standards on site, escalating any serious issues or HSEQ concerns to the Site Supervisors
- Liaising on site with the client’s engineering and maintenance teams, maintaining excellent levels of communication

**What we are looking for**:

- Telehandler Licence (RTITB)
- CPCS/ CSCS Card
- A full UK Driving Licence
- Weighbridge experience
- Tele-hander operation experience and ticket
- Sound Knowledge of Renewable Energy plant processes & all associated Waste / Power Generation machinery (Heavy Machinery / Heavy Equipment / HV MW)
- Knowledge of large heating network systems, Biomass/ biomass fuel systems
- Excellent awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements
- Strong time management skills to effectively meet deadlines
- Flexible, committed and determined to ensure high operational and HSEQ performance across the biomass asset for 24/7 energy demand

- Competitive salary to be discussed at interview
- Hours of work: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am-5pm

- The role will require a significant amount of manual handling, physical activity and at times this role will involve working within dusty environments.
- PPE will be provided
