The Green Folk Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced CHP Lead to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical oversight, operation, and optimization of the biomass-fuelled Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Daily Operations: Oversee the daily operations of the biomass-fuelled CHP plant, including the thermal oil heater and ORC unit, to ensure consistent and reliable energy output.
- Monitor and Analyze Performance: Monitor and analyze plant performance, making data-driven adjustments to optimize efficiency and meet the facility's energy requirements.
- Routine Maintenance: Conduct and oversee routine maintenance activities, troubleshoot operational issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain plant integrity.
- Process Improvements: Lead efforts to identify and implement process improvements, leveraging state-of-the-art automation, SCADA systems, and metering technologies to enhance overall plant performance.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure strict compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, conducting regular safety audits and maintaining necessary documentation.
- Technical Expertise: Serve as the technical expert on biomass CHP plant operations, providing guidance and support to internal teams and collaborating with external contractors and suppliers.
- Performance Reporting: Prepare and deliver regular performance reports, offering insights on operational status, challenges, and opportunities for further optimization.
Qualifications:
- Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in CHP, Biomass, Waste to energy plant operations, with a focus on biomass fuel and ORC technology.
- Skills: Experience with SCADA-operated automated machinery in industrial settings.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biomass CHP plant operations, with a focus on biomass fuel technology, ORC systems, and SCADA-operated automated machinery. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
