**_ Could you play an important role in a project which aims to support asylum seekers to access health and wellbeing services across Cardiff?_**

We currently have exciting opportunities for Project Coordinators to join our Refugee Support and Restoring Family Links team in Cardiff.

In this role you’ll be responsible for maintaining a presence in the Cardiff Health Access Practice (CHAP), the wider South East Cardiff Cluster and the community. You’ll provide a high quality person-centred and responsive service, supporting individuals to register with / access health services and will act as sign-posters / connectors to access community support services. You'll offer practical orientation and support to new arrivals, including one to one and group interventions to promote self care and wellbeing.

You'll develop your understanding of local resources, services and community providers; this role requires close liaison with CHAP clinicians, operational staff and GP practices. You'll also recruit, induct and manage volunteers who support the delivery of the service.

Byddwch yn cynnig cefnogaeth a chyfeiriadaeth ymarferol i bobl newydd sy’n cyrraedd, gan gynnwys ymyriadau un-i-un ac ymyriadau grŵp i hyrwyddo hunanofal a lles.

**This role could be for you if...**

You have experience working with vulnerable people with complex needs.

You have an understanding of issues relating to refugees, asylum seekers and other vulnerable migrants.

You have excellent presentation, facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to adapt your communication style to different audiences including those whose first language is not English

You're a team player; you're able to work as part of a team within what can sometimes be a high-pressure environment. You will have experience supporting, managing and developing volunteers.

You're IT literate and have well-developed organisational skills.

(Having the ability to speak a language which is widely spoken by the refugee / asylum-seeking community would be an advantage).
