**Overall Purpose of the job**: To assist with the everyday running of events, as well as assisting with planning events from the first visit right through to the end of the event itself.

**Main Activities**:
To promote positivity within the workplace, with both colleagues and external stakeholders and suppliers. Provide an example to junior team members by upholding the standards and values of Glow Events Ltd. and leading from the front.

To oversee the catering team on-site, to cover:Ensuring operational cover for all aspects of food service, including canapes, wedding breakfast and evening buffet utilising Deputy to plan with.
- Ensure that all aspects of the General Assistant job description is being adhered to, and to advise and train General Assistants on the correct food service procedures.
- Ensure all aspects of the Company Standards are adhered to, with particular regard to uniform, hygiene, timekeeping, mobile phone use.
- Delegate tasks according to the Company Operations Manual, and any additional tasks to ensure that the venue is maintained to the highest level of cleanliness and aesthetic quality.
- Attend and contribute to Event briefings with the Lead Chef and Event Manager on the morning of an event.
- Pass down any communications from Event briefings to the General Assistants to ensure the team is kept up-to-date with all relevant information regarding the current event and venue requirements.

To be part of the Food Tasting events and support and assist with the:

- Coordination of the food service.
- Coordination of the staff to set up the room ensuring standards are high.
- Answer any food related questions that the Couples may have.

To assist the Events Manager to coordinate and manage all aspects of the Event day, which will include tasks such as:

- Setting up table place settings according to room layout and guest choices paperwork.
- Check last minute paperwork changes on the day with EM
- Support EM offering tea & coffee in bridal suite/prosecco glasses
- Assist/support EM with venue viewings
- Coordinating with suppliers.
- Welcoming guests and organising them to be at ceremony area at the correct time and place.
- Ceremony music, if required.
- Clear away any items from the ceremony and move any items needed for the wedding breakfast
- Food Service, including canapes and calling food away from kitchen.
- Brief catering team on eve food requirements and set up
- Brief catering team on brides request on wedding cake requirements how much to be cut and to wrap up for going home if required.
- Ensuring all cutlery, crockery and glassware is polished or organised for the next event.
- Record breakages on Breakages Google Sheet on Till iPad.

Check rounds of place settings and standards.

To take direction from the Senior Event Manager/Event Manager, in relation to:

- Ensuring all aspects of the Event Overview are actioned according to the clients timeline.
- Training and personal development on Company policies and procedures.
- Tasks laid out in the Company Operations Manual, and any additional tasks to ensure that the venue is maintained to the highest level of cleanliness and aesthetic quality.
- Communications from weekly meetings to ensure all relevant information regarding upcoming events and venue developments are actioned.
