The Arrears Officer will be responsible for providing a supportive and understanding customer experience going through an arrears process.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Understanding the needs of customers and finding the most appropriate solution to support them
- Complete administration duties throughout the repossession process, including instructing and liaising with third parties such as solicitors, estate agents and asset management companies
- Ensure the timely identification and escalation of arrears issues to Credit Committee ensuring all supporting records and recommendations are fully and accurately recorded
- Ensure all contact, communications and agreements with customers meet regulatory, legal, company and TCF requirements
- Present case history and recommendation to Credit Committee as necessary
- Prepare monthly reports as required by the business
- Ensure that the appropriate policies and procedures are followed
- Maintain continuous knowledge and awareness of the industry, legal and regulatory developments impacting arrears management
- Making recommendations to alter policies and procedures

**Knowledge and Experience**:

- Able to effectively communicate in challenging situations written and verbally
- Experience in dealing with customers in vulnerable circumstances
- Excellent time management skills and to be able to manage and make effective decisions
- Possess strong negotiation and problem-solving skills in order
- Ability to articulate options and solutions in a clear and concise manner

**Salary and Benefits**:

- A salary of £24,000 - £30,000 per annum
- Hybrid/office/remote working available
