Arrears Officer - Wimborne - £Competitive Salary

An Arrears Officer is required for our client based in Wimborne where you will be responsible for supporting customers who are in financial difficulty due to arrears on their accounts, and identifying vulnerable accounts to maintain payments. You will need to understand customers needs and find appropriate payment solutions to support them.

Main responsibilities:

- Support customers part of the company with account arrears and finding the best solution for repayments
- Ensure that the appropriate policies and procedures are followed
- Deal with the repossession process when needed by instructing and liaising with third parties
- Ensure all communications with customers are kept to regulatory standards and abide by company guidelines
- Identify accounts in arrears in a timely manner and ensure these are reported to the relevant persons
- Ensure all arrears accounts are recorded accurately and if necessary, present the case history to the credit committee
- Prepare all monthly reports relating to arrears
- Maintain continuous knowledge and awareness of industry, legal and regulatory developments impacting arrears management
- Use effective listening and questioning skills to identify potential risks and provide reassurance and support to the customer whilst working within the guidelines and requirements of the FCA

Skills & Experience required:

- Experience dealing with account arrears within financial services
- Ability to communicate effectively regarding challenging situations
- Excellent time management skills and able to make decisions effectively when required
- Strong negotiation and problem solving skills
- Aware of regulations and policies relating to the FCA and Treating Customers Fairly
- Working knowledge of Word & Excel

This role can be offered as hybrid, remote or office based working.
