Housing Support Officer

We have an opportunity for a Housing Support Officer to join our friendly and supportive Housing Customer Experience team to assist our customers in getting the most out of their tenancy.
**The role**
As a Housing Support Officer, you will support new and existing customers who may need additional assistance in managing their tenancy. You will work with our customers to improve their emotional / physical wellbeing and help them to access digital services as well as provide energy advice. You will also assist customers with identifiable domestic cleaning issues (including hoarding). With excellent communication skills you will liaise with internal colleagues and external agencies to ensure the best customer experience.
**What we are looking for**
- Experience of working in a support capacity within a people centred environment
- A good understanding of the principles of practice in working with vulnerable people
- Good problem solving and negotiation skills
- Good IT skills and an understanding of needs and risk assessment
- The ability to work with service-users, colleagues, families and individuals from external agencies
- Willingness to participate in learning events and undertake a formal qualification e.g. NVQ 3 Health & Social Care
You must also hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle with appropriate vehicle insurance.

We've recently rolled out electric vehicles within our fleet, and we are working closely with our customers to install renewable technologies and energy efficiency measures in their homes to ensure they achieve SAP C by 2028.
Our dedicated Sustainability Team have also produced our new Sustainability Strategy which sets out our commitments for the next 5 years. This encompasses everything from retrofit, adapting to climate change, and working with stakeholders to drive the sustainability agenda regionally.
