An exciting Wedding and events Coordinator job in Royston is available for an exquisite Grade 2 listed Country Hotel. This breathtaking venue is set on River Mel, made even more special by the team within it, and is truly a product you can be proud to work with.
It is conveniently located near the Cambridge-Hertfordshire border, close to Royston and Meldreth station which is accessible by train with connections from Kingscross and Cambridge rail stations.

**Highlights**
This role incorporates both the sales conversation and planning process of Weddings & Events. You will have the support and guidance of the Sales Office Manager and you will also work in hand with the other Events Coordinator, supporting each other as required based on workload.
Most of the 65+ Wedding & Events held here each year will come from inbound interest, meaning that the sales conversion is a key element of the role. Once you have agreed a sale, you will then plan and organise the event specifics. For Weddings, you will usually be on-site for the first part of the actual wedding day, to ensure everything is on track as planned.
**Experience**:
- Previous experience in selling/ planning weddings.

**Responsibilities**:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute all aspects of weddings and related events
- Meet with clients to understand their vision and preferences for their wedding day
- Assist clients in selecting and booking venues, vendors, and service providers
- Create detailed timelines and schedules for each event
- Coordinate logistics, including transportation, accommodations, and guest services
- Manage budgets and track expenses to ensure financial goals are met
- Oversee the setup, decoration, and breakdown of event spaces
- Provide on-site coordination and support during events
- Handle any issues or emergencies that may arise during events
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in wedding planning or event management is preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, vendors, and team members
- Upselling skills to promote additional services or upgrades to clients
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
- Knowledge of the hospitality industry, including hotels, restaurants, and guest services
- Fundraising experience is a plus for coordinating charity events or fundraisers
