**Salary**: £42,000 - £50,000 per year (dependant on experience)

**Location**: Based in our Northallerton or Otley office, with a hybrid working arrangement of 3 days in the office and two days home based

**Contract**: Permanent, Full-Time

As Align Property Partners continues to grow, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join our team. You will work within the company’s multi-disciplinary workforce of Architects, Engineers and Surveyors, collaborating on diverse projects including refurbishments, extensions, planned maintenance and new build projects, with a varied range of clients across North Yorkshire and beyond.

You will draw on your knowledge and experience of building surveying to provide a variety of services, including those relating to building pathology, design, building surveys and contract administration. From your extensive experience of project management you will be able to work autonomously to produce plans, sections and detail drawings for construction using the latest technology.

From your established building surveying career, you will be capable of maintaining good client relationships while building excellent internal relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. We actively encourage staff development which means you will have responsibility to mentor junior members of staff, providing help and advice where required.

For this position, you will be able to demonstrate the following essential skills and qualifications:

- Hold an RICS accredited Building Surveying degree with significant post degree experience of working as a Building Surveyor
- Member of RICS or ideally working towards full membership via the APC pathway.
- Produce schedules of work and specifications using NBS software and other documentation.
- Coordinate deliverables and work collaboratively with other disciplines including Architects, Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Structural Engineers, Quantity Surveyors and CDM Advisors.
- Visit sites to attend meetings, carry out inspections and surveys when required.
- Carry out project design and complete H&S risk assessments to meet current CDM regulation requirements.
- Be committed to maintaining an annual programme of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Carry out building surveys and write building survey reports and Schedules of Condition
- A full UK driving license and ability to travel when required
