**Main Purpose of the Job**

Responsible for working with the Head of Quality and Compliance, who will take a governance and single point of contact (SPOC) role, ensuring the organisation is compliant with Safeguarding and SENDCO legislation, whilst maintaining a culture of best practice,promoting safety and wellbeing for all those engaged within the business.

**Key Responsibilities - Designated Safeguarding Lead**
- Management of key auditable documentation such as: Safeguarding Log, Prevent Risk Assessments etc
- Engaging with key stakeholders to influence and enact change where required, in order to remain compliant and promote best practice.
- Maintenance and ownership of Safeguarding, Prevent and Wellbeing Policy and all associated processes.
- Preparation and leading key external audits and inspections. For example, Ofsted.
- Tracking and analysis of trends internally and externally affecting Safeguarding and Prevent.
- Supporting wider business functions with targeted training, ensuring that Safeguarding is a culture present in all departments.
- Working directly with learners flagged to Safeguarding, offering information, advice, guidance and intervention where required.
- Collaborate with a team of Designated Safeguarding Officers (DSO), ensuring that cause for concerns are allocated, managed and logged appropriately
- Delivery of targeted training to employers
- Creation of content to promote Safeguarding, Prevent, Fundamental British Values and Welfare.
- Collaborating with HR to ensure that Safer Recruitment is compliant and embedded in recruitment processes, whilst supporting with management of Single Central Register.
- Providing targeted training to delivery teams in order to promote best practice and embed Safeguarding cultures within training and coaching provision.
- Engaging with internal working group to meet key strategic business targets in recruitment, retention and achievements.
- Engaging with external networks to consistently improve provision
- Engaging with key stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and wellbeing
- Escalating high risk cases to Single Point of Contact (SPOC)
- Carrying out general administrative duties
- Any other duties commensurate with the role

**Key Responsibilities - SENDCO**
- Management of key auditable documentation, in line with approaches outlined in core legislation and best practice. IE - SEN Code of Practice, SEND register etc.
- Engaging directly with individuals identified as having additional support needs and/or disability, building targeting support plans aimed to foster successful outcomes.
- Management of core systems relating to neurodiversity assessment, analysing reports for trend analysis and compliance.
- Engaging with Compliance Manager to ensure that LSF (Learning Support Funding) claims are audited and inform strategic direction of provision.
- Providing targeted training to delivery teams in order to promote best practice for teaching and learning
- Supporting wider business functions to engage and inform prospective employers and learners of the provision available.
- Management and oversight of ongoing support plans, ensuring that agreed approaches are being embedded.
- Liaison with external networks to ensure that reasonable adjustments and any other allowances are applied.
- Engaging with internal working group to meet key strategic business targets in recruitment, retention, and achievements.
- Engaging with external networks to consistently improve provision
- Engaging with key stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and wellbeing
- Escalating high risk cases to Single Point of Contact (SPOC)
- Carrying out general administrative duties
- Any other duties commensurate with the role
