**Role Overview**:
As a SENCo, you will collaborate closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the wider school community. Your leadership skills will be instrumental in managing the provision within the school, providing guidance to teachers and learning support professionals, and ensuring inclusion is at the core of our school policies and culture.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- ** Collaborative Leadership**: Work closely with the Vice Principal, Head of Pastoral, and Deputy SENDCo to ensure that inclusion is embedded in whole school policies and culture.
- ** Deputy Safeguarding Lead**: Act as a deputy safeguarding lead, contributing to the safety and well-being of our students.
- ** Reporting and Review**: Provide timely reports for key stakeholders, including local governing body meetings. Contribute to the academy development plan and review impact termly.
- ** Data-Informed Decision Making**: Utilize data on SEND areas to inform key decisions, ensuring interventions are evidence-based and targeted for maximum impact.
- ** Whole School Strategy**: Design and implement a whole school strategy for SEND, fostering an environment that supports diverse learning needs.
- ** Classroom Teaching**: Carry out classroom teaching responsibilities while incorporating best practices for inclusive education.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Qualified teacher status (QTS) with substantial teaching experience.
- Additional qualifications in special education and experience as a SENCo are highly desirable.
- Proven track record of designing and delivering effective interventions for pupils with special educational needs.
