We're a Spanish immersion setting, looking for a SENCO to support our team with the delivery of high quality childcare to our SEND children.

Our setting is a unique, innovative nursery in SE18 (Woolwich / Plumstead / Shooters Hill), South East London. We are a close-knit, highly-qualified and welcoming team and take staff well-being very seriously.

Set in a child-sized miniature city, Bonitots offers a cutting-edge Spanish-English curriculum in an environment carefully designed to nurture, engage and inspire all children to fulfill their potential. The nursery care for children from 6 months to five years old.

Our ideal applicant will:

- Support us to fulfill our mission statement: To give children a gift for life by supporting them to develop into resilient, creative, empathetic, bilingual children - with a high self esteem and growth mindset - through warm, innovative, engaging interactions.
- Prioritise the children's safety above all else, followed by their wellbeing and development.
- Have a working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Work as part of a highly motivated and professional team.
- As our setting SENCO, you will be responsible for managing the support of our children with SEND.
- We can be flexible on working hours and location. There is an opportunity for additional hours in other roles.

You must:

- Have an excellent command of the English language
- Be flexible and creative and have the commitment to provide first class childcare
- Have the ability to promote good practice in a professional manner
- Have good organisational skills.
- Experience working as SENCO in the early years
- As Bonitots' SENCO, you will be responsible for:

- ensuring all practitioners in the setting understand their responsibilities to children with SEND
- advising and supporting colleagues
- ensuring parents are closely involved throughout and that their insights inform action taken by the setting
- liaising with professionals or agencies beyond the setting
- taking the lead in implementing the graduated approach and supporting colleagues through each stage of the process.
