Quality Inspector

**Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are currently recruiting**:
We are looking for a Quality Inspector to work with our client based in Barnsley.

This will be 2-3 months’ work to start in January, working on days.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide support to the QA Manager & QA Engineer.
- Undertake inspection activities in a professional manner
- Generate records as required to confirm inspection operations have been carried out
- Collate and file supplier & sub-contract supplied documentation
- Issue records & documents to the QA department in a timely manner for client submission
- Carry out patrol inspection workshop manufacturing activities daily
- Liaise with internal departments on all matters of quality concern
- Look to develop and improve company operating practices
- Report on any issues that are detrimental to the workings of any manufactured component
- Keep track of the company calibration system
- Ensure the inspection office is kept tidy / organized.
- Work with client 3rd party inspectors
- Work closely with team leaders to ensure product inspection follows the approved manufacturing control sheets and operations are signed off accordingly.
- Work safely and efficiently at all times

**Job Requirements**
- At least 5 years’ experience of a similar role
- Excellent understanding of welding, NDT & general engineering workshop functions
- Understanding of material certification documents
- NDT qualifications in (Visual, MPI, DPI & UT)
- Experience of painting & inspection processes
- Understanding of fitting & machining operations

**Education / Qualifications**

City & Guilds / NVQ in Engineering

Valid CSWIP 3.0 and valid PCN would be expected

**Rate of pay is £15-£20 per hour.**
