**Commissioning Officer**

**The Role**

The core focus of this role is to lead and support the commissioning of a range of services that support the Transforming Care Partnership and the People’s Directorate to meet its statutory responsibilities and priorities, and in turn to improve the health of the wider population. As a commissioner at Nottingham City Council, we will utilise all your skills across the commissioning cycle. You will work closely with procurement to help deliver the commissioning of new services, and you will be supporting commissioning leads with service development. You will help to maximise value and effectiveness across all services, and it is important to build strong working relationships with partners both internally and externally to achieve this.

**Annual Salary £34,373 Rising to £36,371 after completion of one years’ service**

***Essential Requirements**
- Excellent standard of literacy and communication skills. Able to produce clear and accurately written documentation for a range of audiences, reflective of service users, providers, policy makers, senior managers, and politicians
- Experience of presenting business cases, project updates and exception reports to a variety of Boards and understanding the level of detail required for each.
- Experience of working with a range of partners to achieve shared outcomes within budgetary agreements Able to analyse both qualitative and quantitative information.
- Understanding of the equalities legislative framework and the ability to adopt and support appropriate working practices which ensure equality and diversity.
