**About the Team**

Following a successful pilot, Bath and North East Somerset Council (B&NES) have re-launched the Employment and Skills POD as part of the West of England Combined Authority’s (the Combined Authority) new Skills Connect service, to enable us to work in partnership with other key organisations to provide information, advice, guidance. training and upskilling opportunities to the residents of Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES).This has presented an exciting opportunity to look at how we can further support initiatives in the region by bolting the project on to new and existing services. Working in partnership with our Resettlement Team and Future Bright, we are opening a new IAG role to provide employment support to Ukrainian nationals within B&NES. There will be opportunities for development provided in this role including mentoring and coaching training where appropriate/required.

**About the Role**

The purpose of this post is to:

- Raise the profile of Employment Support for Ukrainian guests in the region
- Develop their understanding of the offer and how it can benefit them, with a particular focus on common challenges e.g. supporting and maintaining tenancy
- Promote the offer to partnerships, business forums and other networks in the region
- Increase sign up and register onto provision and courses via referral to future bright where appropriate
- Deliver 1-2-1 support to service users
- Manage caseload, working collaboratively with other members of of the Employment and Skills Pod team
- Attend employment and other relevant events on behalf of the Employment and Skills Pod and Future Bright team
- Support the triaging process carried out by Employment and Skills Pod and Future Bright teams
- If possible provide translation support to the Pod and Future Bright teams

**About You**

Applicants will preferably have operational and caseload experience, hold a relevant professional qualification and/or equivalent experience. Applicants will have the authority and credibility, and preferably lived experience, in order to build relationships and engage successfully with service users, colleagues, external organisations and employers.

Applicants will need to have problem-solving skills and will need excellent verbal, written and ICT skills.

The post holder will be expected to work autonomously and remotely with a minimum 1 day in the office or working with partners.
