This is an exciting opportunity to work within one of the Cheshire Mental Health Support Team's (MHST) based in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. We have 1 post available within the team, 1 part time 30 hour CYPWP.

The Band 5 Children and Young People's Wellbeing Practitioners will work with colleagues in the Ellesmere Port MHST who align closely with the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, education settings and professionals supporting children, young people and their families.

The post involves working directly with schools, colleges and settings providing information, advice and guidance through consultation, direct work with children and young people and their families and delivering evidence based interventions.

We will require successful applicants to be registered with either the BABCP or the BPS as you will be working within a NHS commissioned service.

This is an exciting time for Children and Young People Mental Heath Services so please come and be part of the development.

Experience of working/training within an MHST is desirable.

**Main duties of the job**:
The post-holder will work within Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust Mental Health Support Team (Ellesmere Port MHST) and provide a range of assessment and other interventions on an individual and wider systems basis under close clinical supervision from experienced staff.

Accessing regular case management and clinical supervision on an individual and group basis will be an important aspect of the role.

The post-holder will be able to deliver a range of 1:1 and group Low Intensity CBT based interventions for children, young people, and parents/carers.

**Working for our organisation**:
CWP provides health and care services for local people, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health and all-age disability care - including the provision of three GP surgeries.

Our aim is to help people to be the best they can be, adopting a compassionate, person-centred approach to everything we do. We were recently rated as Outstanding for Caring by the Care Quality Commission with a Good rating overall.

We offer a variety of roles at all levels, so whether you are just starting out in your career or looking to use your skills and experience in a new role, CWP is the right employer for you.

CWP are committed to making our recruitment practices as inclusive as possible for everyone. We are committed to promoting equality and diversity and developing a culture that values differences.

To support this, we offer up to three weeks induction, dependent on role, with our Prepare to Care programme for all new starters. This aims to give you all the knowledge and guidance to help you grow and flourish with CWP.

**Detailed job description and main responsibilities**:
Please download a copy of the job description for full details.

Recruitment selection processes are based on competence (see Person specification) and values.

If you have a disability that meets the definition set out in the Equality Act 2010, and you can show that you meet the ‘essential’ criteria described in the person specification for an available position, please answer ‘YES’ to the question: ‘Do you wish to be considered under the Guaranteed Interview Scheme?’

Please inform the team if you have any special support needs to be considered as part of the interview and selection processes.
