**Responsibilities**

This role is responsible for all aspects of sponsorship and delegate sales including scoping opportunities, driving and securing sales, management of team and budgets and execution of strategy and delivery.

Key areas of focus involve:

- Leading the development, management and execution of commercial sponsorship and delegate sales strategies
- Meeting and exceeding financial targets for commercial sales across events and publishing to drive revenue growth
- Plan sponsor engagements and sponsor packages to ensure there is a long-term and sustainable supply of sponsorship, reflecting members’ needs
- Demonstrating strong commercial acumen and an ability to pre-empt and consider different scenarios in an unpredictable operating environment
- Proactive engagement with sponsors and other members to pick up key themes and trends from the industry to feed into events and commercial strategies
- Fulfilment and delivery of sponsorship contracts and close liaison with sponsors before, during and after the sponsorship is delivered, working with the events team and other teams
- Use knowledge of the Financial Services sector to identify commercial opportunities and shape content
- Work with the events team to plan segmented sales and invitations
- Line manage the Senior Delegate Sales Executive
- Work across teams to ensure stakeholder needs are delivered most effectively and members needs are identified and met
- Responsible for all administration associated with commercial sponsorship account management and contracts.

**Essential Skills/Experience**
- Six to eight years senior sponsorship and delegate sales, business development and account management experience within a membership, corporate or charity sector
- Credible negotiator and influencer and able to build and manage relationships across a broad range of stakeholders
- Demonstrable commercial acumen with track record of results
- Knowledge of Financial Services industry
- Line management experience
- Polite, persuasive and professional communication skills
- Strong Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
- Proficiency in the use of CRM, in particular Microsoft Dynamics
- Strong diary and time management
- Willingness to work extra hours when required
- Personable, friendly and approachable.
