A large Retail and Wholesale business that sells FMCG products across the UK. This company is corporate in feel and offers good career progression and development opportunities to management accountants looking to work for a larger and more complex business.
**Your new role**
Working in the Liverpool Shared Service Centre, you will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts for a number of regional subsidiaries.
You will have responsibility for the balance sheet and P&L accounts for the entities assigned to you.
As management accountant you will report to the financial controller and ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively to ensure a smooth month end and reporting process.
Responsibilities will include
Responsible for integrity and accuracy of the P&L, Balance Sheet
Posting of month end journals Month end reconciliations
Preparation of full P&L and Balance Sheet
Liaise with Regional Finance Managers providing analysis of primary statements.
Development of financial controls reflecting an SSC approach ensuring financial controls are in place and consistent across multiple locations
Supervise and support junior members of the SSC team
**What you'll need to succeed**
You should be a qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA with experience of producing monthly management accounts.
