This is an exciting opportunity to join the Access and Widening Participation Portfolio within the Admissions Team at the University of St Andrews. This post is a 0.6FTE part-time, fixed term contract until 31st July 2023.

The post holder will be required to develop and deliver recruitment, admissions and outreach activities as relating to the Admissions Unit operational plan and specifically in lines with widening participation and access focused priority projects.

The post holder should have a sensitivity and interest in widening participation across schools and colleges. The post holder should have a good understanding of current government strategic objectives in relation to Widening Access to Higher Education and be able to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders from across the sector including applicants, academic colleagues, school and college staff, parents and care providers and community learning partners.

The post holder will be able to work independently, and have a proactive approach to working practices, actively seeking new opportunities for development and improvements to workload and have a student-centered approach.

Applications are particularly welcome from women, people from the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) community, and other protected characteristics who are under-represented in professional posts at the University.

This post will/may be primarily based at the Eden Campus at Guardbridge, a state-of-the-art working environment for professional services units.
