We are delighted to present our client’s vacancy for **Business Improvement and Sustainability Specialist**, a permanent position based in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Working full time Monday to Friday - flexible working and hybrid working option available, occasional travel (fully expensed) to visit other company sites in the UK. Salary is in the range £50,000 to £56,000 depending on experience plus pension and benefits. You will have a working knowledge of business management systems and be a trained auditor, ideally certified across a number of ISO standards in particular ISO14001

**Responsibilities**:
Lead and coordinate delivery of all corporate sustainability development initiatives including reducing company carbon emissions in line with targets set

Implement across the organisation sustainability best practice

Coordinate design and implementation of data capture systems

Monitoring and reporting to senior level management, streamlining and optimisation of corporate performance data

Supporting the Risk and Improvement Team, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders for continuous improvement and liaison with HS&E Team

Implementing and continuous improvement of the organisations integrated business management system

Carry out audits relation to ISO standards ISO9001, ISO 14001, ISO45001 and ISO27001.

Able to train and support staff at all levels in relation to sustainability and carbon reporting requirements

Project Manage carbon accounting and statutory reporting, managing and implementing performance metrics for the organisation as a whole

Undertake Data Analysis utilising inhouse software and coordination of the organisation delivery project plan in line with internal operating procedures.

**Skills and experience required for the Business Improvement and Sustainability Specialist role**:
Trained Auditor, with experience with business management systems and hold ISO Certification (mainly ISO14001), and understanding of wider ISO standards

Project Management certification eg Prince 2 or equivalent

In-depth knowledge of Carbon Accounting and statutory reporting requirements

Knowledge and experience of performance reporting using performance metrics

Have knowledge of integrated business management system protocols

Data analysis using Systems such as Q.Pulse or similar

Good presentation skills and policy and procedural writing skills

Hold a high level of compliance, observation and monitoring skills
